Riverview resident opens fitness boutique for women
RIVERVIEW, FL | APRIL 5, 2017 Kara Birkey recently took her 10 years of experience in the fitness industry to new heights when she opened Flow Fitness Boutique March 25. “It’s not a gym,” said the mother of two. “It’s a fitness studio, a smaller community facility where women (ages 16 and older) can connect and be part of something special.”
After working 10 years in the fitness industry, Riverview resident Kara Birkey, 33, opened Flow Fitness Boutique on March 25. Her studio offers women a welcoming, nonthreatening place to have fun working out doing trending exercise activities with other like-minded women.
Birkey, 33, thinks fitness should be fun and filled with varied activities in a wholesome, non-threatening environment. And for many women that means working out in more intimate, welcoming surroundings than the typical corner co-ed gym.
“Even if you’ve never worked out before, we want you to come here and not feel intimidated,” Birkey said.
