Ways to Alternate Your Workout to Maximize Results

When you put together your workout routine, you should understand that the word “routine” describes your commitment to working out and not your workout activities. If you want to maximize your workout benefits, then you need to change up your routine and do different types of exercises.

Why Should I Alternate My Workout?

If you do the same workout routine every day at your local women’s fitness boutique, you will overwork certain sets of muscles and neglect others. By alternating exercises, you will hit on all the important muscle groups and prevent yourself from suffering injuries related to muscle strain.

Changing up your workout is also important to keep you interested and engaged. If you keep doing the same thing over and over again, you will become bored and burn out.

Try Changing Up Your Type of Workout

You can break your week up into two or three sets of days and choose different types of workouts for each set. For example, you can do HIIT exercises, such as Tabata, on Mondays and Wednesdays; core exercises, such as Trapeze flow on Tuesdays and Thursdays; and then finish out the week on Friday with body sculpting.

Give Yourself a Day Off

Instead of working out every day, you can choose to do different types of workouts on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and then give yourself the other days off. If you want to work out more often, then add a fourth day.

If you try to do the same exercises day after day, you will eventually develop muscle fatigue, which can lead to injuries. Find creative ways to alternate your workout routine to make the most of your visits to your women’s gym each week.
